DAY 1 ARRIVAL
Arrival to Yerevan, meeting at Zvartnots International airport. Transfer to the hotel.

DAY 2 YEREVAN CITY TOUR
In the morning a panoramic tour of the capital of Armenia, which is one of the oldest cities in the world. We will see the main attractions including Matenadaran - a repository of ancient manuscripts, the Republic Square, the National Opera and Ballet Theater, Cascade complex, the monument “Mother Armenia”. Light lunch at 13:00. Afternoon walking sightseeing, Cascade, Abovyan street, Northern pedestrian avenue and Saryan street – famous for its wine bars. Go for winetasting introduction of Armenia wines. Full dinner at the local restaurant. As an option, you can spend your evening at the famous Malkhas Jazz Club. (Ej rökfritt)

DAY 3 GEGHARD, GARNI
After breakfast, a trip to the cave Monastery Geghard (13th c.; UNESCO), which consists of three churches and a huge mausoleum carved into the mountain. Continuation of the tour will bring us to the pagan temple of Garni (1st c.) – the only Hellenistic temple extant in the region. Inspection of “Temple of the Sun” and the ancient royal baths, situated on the edge of the picturesque valley. Lunch in a private house, where we will see the baking process of Armenian traditional flatbread, lavash. By the same time, we will participate in the process of baking. Return to Yerevan. Visit to “Ararat” Brandy Factory with excursion and brandy tasting. Free evening at your leisure. Vi bor I centrum och utbudet av matställen är bra liksom den medhavsinspirerade matkonsten.
DAY 4 YEREVAN, KHOR VIRAP, NORAVANK, ARENI, YEREVAN
Breakfast. The road from Yerevan to Areni Caves leads through the plains of Ararat, where all of a sudden an attractive picture of Khor-Virap Monastery appears. It is located 200 meters away from the Turkish border, the nearest spot to Ararat Mountain from Armenia. Visit the vineyards of Noa winery in the village Rind. Later we will visit Noravank Monastery built in an inaccessible location among an amazing nature. Lunch at and wine tasting in Old bridge winery. Go back to Yerevan. On the way back, we will stop at Trinity Canyon Vineyard for cultural and traditional meeting with the owner in Areni village. Evening at your leisure.
Vinkultur från 700 talet som fram till 1991 fått stå tillbaka men tar allt mer fart. Resan utmed turkiska gränsen med Ararat hela tiden i blickfånget ger oss även mer insikt i de bägge ländernas gamla konflikter.
DAY 5 YEREVAN, LAKE SEVAN, DILIJAN
Breakfast. A trip to Lake Sevan, which is situated at an altitude above 1900m. Its crystal-clear transparent water changes color several times during the day leaving unforgettable expressions. Climb the hill, located on the peninsula that offers magnificent panoramic views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Lunch time. The tour will be continued to the forested resort town of Dilijan, which is also called “Armenian Little Switzerland” for its nature. Enjoy a walking tour in the lush forest of Dilijan National Park. Have a picnic lunch on your way to the beautiful medieval monastery located deep in the woods. Dinner and overnight in Dilijan.

DAY 6 DILIJAN, HAGHPAT, SANAHIN, YEREVAN
Breakfast. Excursion to the Monasteries of Sanahin and Haghpat (10 -13th cc., UNESCO), which are among the outstanding works of medieval Armenian architecture. Inspection of the medieval Sanahin bridge, over the river Debed. Light lunch in a local restaurant. Here you can take the time for a walk in a beautiful area. Return to Yerevan. Dinner by their own in pre booked restaurant close to the hotel. Smoking free! Overnight in the hotel.
DAY 7 YEREVAN, ECHMIADZIN, ZVARTNOTS
After breakfast, take a trip to Echmiadzin, the spiritual and administrative center of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Visit the world’s first Christian Cathedral (4th c.; UNESCO). Lunch in a national restaurant. On the way back stop at the ruins of the most famous temple in Armenia – Zvartnots Cathedral (7th c.; UNESCO). Continue to Armenia Wine Factory for wine tasting and photoshoot in Armenan traditional costumes. Return to Yerevan. Farewell dinner in evening 18:30.
DAY 8 DEPARTURE
Transfer to the airport and departure. Tidig avresa
